Day 9: Tuesday April 7, 2015

Today was actually a strange day, because it felt like I didn't get much work done, but I actually did. I learned a lot about the editing software that I successfully downloaded and installed, Premier Pro. Premier is the industry standard, so learning this software will certainly help me later on if I work on bigger projects. It was a huge change from iMovie, but it works so much better and is honestly much easier when I get into the swing of things.

I also watched several videos on YouTube on learning how to import footage, use the program, and figure out how to export it properly. It seems daunting, but I quickly caught on to how the program worked. I was quite happy to learn this new program, but there will certainly be a learning curve down the line.

This weeks video is a different one, because I am going out into the Lovett community and asking students and teachers questions about what their definition of success is. Then I'm going to take their answers, their data, and write an essay or piece about it later and convey my message by talking to the camera. Much like newscasters do when they go out on the street to ask people what they think, I will be doing something similar. The model I am basing this video off of is something called Deep Dive, a show that is featured on the SourceFed channel on YouTube. Here is the video I am inspired by.

Hopefully this week will go better than last week. That would make my day.
Well, here goes nothing.
